Empowering Recovery: Explore Purpose’s PPO Drug Rehab Programs for Lasting Healing

Although substance use disorders are very common, not everyone is able to get addiction treatment. In 2021, 94% of individuals aged 12+ in the United States who had a substance use disorder didn’t get addiction treatment.

In far too many cases, this was because the perceived cost of rehab programs made them out of reach for those needing to help.

At Purpose, we understand that it can be hard to pay for out-of-pocket costs associated with drug rehab programs. But the good news is that a PPO insurance policy will often help make things more affordable, and in many cases, cover costs entirely.

Using PPO insurance coverage helps people like you or your loved one with a substance use disorder get the help they need. But finding a rehab center that works with your insurance provider is still crucial.

So, what should you know about the PPO drug rehab programs at Purpose Healing Center? How can you ensure that your addiction treatment costs are covered?

First, let’s discuss what a PPO insurance plan is and how to verify your insurance coverage for addiction treatment. Then, we’ll talk about the drug rehab programs you can access with PPO plans at Purpose Healing Center, our Scottsdale campus and Phoenix location, and frequently covered services that can continue to support you after rehab.

What is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO)?

A Preferred Provider Organization, or PPO, is a type of health insurance that allows you to access a range of healthcare providers and facilities that choose to work with your specific insurance plan. For example, your primary care doctor’s office may accept MultiPlan, just like Purpose Healing Center does, allowing you to get care from your in-network PCP.

A PPO is not the same as a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO). PPO insurance coverage doesn’t require referrals. So, if we take your PPO plan, you won’t need a referral to get the cost of treatment at Purpose Healing Center covered. An example of a PPO insurance provider is MultiPlan, which is one of the biggest PPO insurance providers in the US.

Purpose Healing Center accepts most PPO insurance plans. Health insurance plans accepted at our facility include but aren’t limited to the following.

This is not a full list of health insurance companies that can help you cover treatment costs at Purpose Healing Center. We also accept most AHCCCS plans (Arizona Medicaid) plans, AIHP, and other insurance plans. Private or self-pay is also available.

Using Your Insurance Coverage for Treatment at Purpose Healing Center

Purpose Healing Center offers free insurance verification. To confirm that we accept your PPO insurance plan, please call our admissions line. With your insurance card or information, including your member ID number, ready, the insurance verification process should take a few minutes or less.

We offer a full continuum of care. Your PPO insurance plan can, in many cases, cover the cost of any level of care at Purpose Healing Center, including our drug and alcohol detox program, inpatient treatment programs, and outpatient treatment programs.

The Programs Offered and Conditions Treated at Purpose

Before you enter treatment at Purpose Healing Center, staff members will give you a free intake assessment. During that intake assessment, we’ll ask questions that help us better understand your treatment needs. Then, we’ll help you choose a starting level of care and suggest a treatment program based on your current symptoms.

Medical Detox in a Modern Setting

Medically Supervised Detox Process

A medical detox setting is almost always used as a precursor to other addiction treatment services, like inpatient or outpatient drug rehab. Getting off of substances on your own can be dangerous in some instances due to withdrawal symptoms, which can be severe.

Our detox program helps clients facing alcohol or drug addiction stop using substances safely with the care and supervision of medical professionals. Usually, detox lasts for 1-2 weeks.

JCAHO-Accredited Addiction Treatment Programs

Purpose Healing Center treats all types and levels of substance abuse. We offer residential treatment, which includes room and board. In our inpatient or residential treatment program for substance abuse, you’ll live on-site and will have a full daily schedule of groups, therapy, life skills, and other treatment activities.

Meals and access to a range of on-site amenities are provided. Inpatient rehab services are often the most expensive type of care, so using your insurance plan can be particularly critical.

We also offer all types of outpatient services for substance abuse, including a partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), and outpatient program. Programs like our IOP for addiction are more flexible and allow you to work or attend school while in treatment. While they tend to cost less than inpatient drug rehab, out-of-pocket costs for outpatient treatment services are often still high, so insurance benefits are vital for many clients.

Dedicated Dual Diagnosis Treatment Programs

Our dual diagnosis programs are ideal if you’re seeking addiction treatment and have one or more accompanying mental health issues. For example, someone with a substance use disorder diagnosis and depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), schizophrenia, a personality disorder, trauma, or another mental health condition or concern.

Purpose Healing Center offers dual diagnosis treatment in our residential inpatient rehab program and all levels of outpatient care. Like those with standalone substance use disorders, most dual-diagnosis clients attend detox first.

Proven Mental Health Programs

Purpose Healing Center offers mental health treatment for clients with standalone mental health concerns. Our treatment facilities in Scottsdale and Phoenix work with trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, other mood disorders (e.g., bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders, OCD, and schizophrenia or related disorders.

Similar to our dual diagnosis and addiction treatment programs, multiple care levels are available for mental health clients at Purpose Healing Center. Outpatient treatment services let you continue working, attending school, or caring for your family while in treatment. Inpatient treatment options let you build new routines while in a supportive environment at our treatment center.

Purpose Healing Center: Our Locations and What to Expect

Medical Detox at Purpose Healing Center

Both our Phoenix and Scottsdale locations offer a full spectrum of mental health, dual diagnosis, and addiction treatment services. During or after your intake assessment, we’ll talk with you about what to bring to residential inpatient treatment or detox, if applicable, and what to expect on a typical day of treatment.

Our two treatment centers are in Maricopa County. We service clients from a broad range of areas, including those who live both in and outside of Arizona. Please let us know if you need directions or help with transportation.

Scottsdale Mental Health and Addiction Treatment

Purpose Healing Center’s Scottsdale facility is located at 8712 E Via de Commercio, Scottsdale, AZ, 85258. For those in inpatient treatment, there is a pool, hot tub, games, a chef, snacks, and other amenities on-site.

Our behavioral health professionals use a combination of evidence-based behavioral therapies, motivational therapies, and other treatments at all care levels.

Phoenix Mental Health and Addiction Treatment

Our Phoenix treatment facility is located at 1841 N 24th St, Phoenix, AZ, 85008. Like our Scottsdale location, Purpose Healing Center’s Phoenix location offers a variety of amenities, uses a combination of evidence-based treatments in all programs, and has excellent reviews from former clients and their loved ones.

How Else Does Insurance Coverage Help in Addiction Recovery?

As addiction or mental health treatment comes to an end at either of our rehab centers, Purpose Healing Center’s staff will help you make a custom aftercare plan. Like your treatment plan at our facility, aftercare planning will be unique to you.

Many clients benefit from ongoing medication-assisted treatment (MAT), therapy, or psychiatry services after treatment. PPO coverage can help you pay for the costs associated with MAT, therapy, and psychiatry services, as well as other types of medical treatment (e.g., PCP visits).

Our compassionate and friendly team can provide referrals to providers, such as therapists or psychiatrists, who accept your PPO insurance plan if needed. We can also connect you with support groups and other services with no out-of-pocket costs in Phoenix, Scottsdale, or your local area.

FAQs Regarding PPO Drug Rehab Programs

Is an HMO or PPO better in insurance?

Both PPO plans and HMOs have potential benefits. The most important differentiator for most people is that an HMO can be more limiting than a preferred provider organization in terms of the covered providers you can see. On the other hand, HMOs sometimes cost less than PPO insurance plans, which can be appealing to those shopping for health insurance plans.

Does insurance cover drug rehab?

Yes. Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), there are ten essential health benefits that insurance providers must offer. Substance abuse and mental health treatment is one of those ten essential health benefits. In other words, insurance providers are now required to give you a certain level of behavioral health benefits, including drug rehab services.

Still, to get inpatient or outpatient treatment covered, you must find a facility that works with your insurance company. Alternatively, if a healthcare provider or facility does not work with your insurance provider directly, you might be able to use out-of-network benefits.

What are out-of-network benefits?

If a particular facility or provider does not accept your PPO insurance plan, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t see the provider or attend the facility. However, you’ll usually have to pay out-of-pocket. If your insurance company offers out-of-network benefits, they can help cover the cost of out-of-network providers, centers, or services. For this to work, you will have to file a claim with your insurance provider and get it approved.

Does insurance cover dual diagnosis treatment?

More than a quarter of individuals facing addiction have at least one co-occurring mental health concern. Dual diagnosis treatment is integral in this case, as it is associated with better treatment outcomes and can help you overcome both substance abuse and mental health concerns.

Like standalone addiction or mental health treatment, insurance companies must cover dual diagnosis treatment services. To get dual diagnosis treatment covered, look for a treatment facility that takes your health insurance plan.
