Navigating Rehab: Evernorth Rehab Coverage and Purpose Healing Center’s Expert Care

Get Treatment Covered Using Evernorth Insurance at Purpose Healing

Addiction and mental health concerns are rampant in Arizona and across the United States. Getting effective drug and alcohol treatment can change or even save your life. While the cost of care without insurance can be steep, there is good news for people with Evernorth health insurance coverage when choosing to seek care at Purpose.

Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), substance use disorder treatment is considered an essential healthcare service that health insurance providers must cover. This means that more people are able to access drug and alcohol addiction treatment than they were before the ACA.

Evernorth Health Services is part of the Cigna group, a global health insurance company with over 178 customers. If you have Evernorth insurance, you can use it to pay for substance abuse, mental health, and dual diagnosis treatment at Purpose Healing Center.

This blog post will go over everything you need to know about getting addiction treatment with your Evernorth healthcare plan.

First, we’ll discuss the details of using Evernorth to pay for drug rehab treatment. Then, we’ll go over the full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services available to Evernorth policyholders at Purpose.

Rehabs That Accept Evernorth Insurance in Arizona

Purpose Healing Center is dedicated to helping clients get help for addiction, mental health, and dual diagnosis disorders in Arizona. To make treatment possible, we accept most health insurance plans.

Purpose Healing Center has a location in Scottsdale, AZ, and Phoenix, AZ. Both of Purpose Healing Center’s locations are in-network with Evernorth and Cigna. In other words, both of our rehab centers in Arizona accept Evernorth insurance.

You can use Evernorth health insurance to cover the cost of any level of care at our rehab centers in Phoenix or Scottsdale. Whether inpatient or outpatient care is right for you, your insurance plan can help.

In Network vs Out of Network Benefits

In-network providers sign a contract so that you can use your health insurance to pay for the cost of their services. As a treatment facility that is in-network with Cigna and Evernoth, Purpose Healing Center is an ideal fit for people with a Cigna or Evernorth healthcare plan.

Out-of-network benefits can help you pay for out-of-network services and out-of-network providers in some cases. However, this is not guaranteed.

Most people look for treatment facilities that are in-network with their health insurance provider so they know their mental health and addiction treatment services will be covered.

What Addiction and Mental Health Treatment Services are Covered by Evernorth?

Purpose Healing Center has a full continuum of care for clients who need help with drug and alcohol addiction. Here are the types of addiction treatment clients with Cigna and Evernorth health insurance coverage can access at Purpose Healing Center in Arizona.

Inpatient Rehab and Mental Health Treatment

Inpatient Rehab

Residential inpatient programs are a type of mental health and addiction treatment that lets you live on-site at a treatment center for the duration of your program. Benefits of residential treatment include but aren’t limited to 24/7 supervision, access to on-site amenities, and the ability to focus on your recovery away from daily life triggers.

The residential inpatient treatment program at Purpose Healing Center involves an intensive daily schedule of therapy, including both individual and group counseling, meals, and other activities. The length of inpatient care can depend on multiple factors, but many clients stay for around 28-90 days.

On-site amenities at Purpose Healing Center include but aren’t limited to meals, private or semi-private rooms, no-contact sports, a swimming pool, a reading area, and outings for clients in inpatient rehab treatment.

The average cost of inpatient rehab per individual in Arizona often comes to over $56,000 in total. Your Evernorth or Cigna insurance plan can help you pay for inpatient treatment, in many cases offsetting all or most of the costs.

Outpatient Addiction and Mental Health Services

Purpose Healing Center offers multiple levels of outpatient treatment. Like our inpatient mental health and addiction treatment programs, all types of outpatient treatment offered at Purpose are covered by Evernorth insurance. The main two types of outpatient programs include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.

  • Partial hospitalization program: Also called PHP or partial day treatment, partial hospitalization programs are the most intensive type of outpatient care. In PHP at Purpose Healing Center, you can expect to attend treatment five days per week for around 4-6 hours per day. PHP can be ideal for clients who need an alternative to inpatient treatment options and are able to manage symptoms outside of treatment hours.
  • Intensive outpatient program: The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at Purpose Healing Center is more flexible than PHP, but it’s also more intensive than traditional outpatient services. Most IOP clients attend Purpose about three days or nights per week for groups and at least once weekly individual therapy. Our dedicated IOP offering allows clients more time for external commitments like work or school.

While outpatient treatment options are often less expensive than inpatient treatment programs, out-of-pocket expenses are still very high for those without insurance. Looking for treatment centers like Purpose Healing Center that take Evernorth insurance can help.

Medically Supervised Detox and Withdrawal Management

Medically Supervised Detox

When you first stop using substances like drugs and alcohol, you may experience uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms. In some cases, withdrawals can even be dangerous, leading to serious psychiatric symptoms, shaking, trembling, seizures, and other symptoms.

During the withdrawal process, there can be a high potential for relapse, especially if you are not supervised. Purpose Healing Center offers medical detox services that provide supervision and support while helping you manage withdrawal symptoms and discontinue drug and alcohol use safely.

Usually, detox programs are a short-term precursor to another level of care. Most clients stay in detox for 1-2 weeks before transferring to another treatment program, such as a residential inpatient treatment program or PHP. Similar to how the withdrawal process carries a high potential for relapse, clients risk relapse if they don’t enter further services.

You can use your Evernorth health insurance plan to cover the cost of detox and withdrawal management services at Purpose.

Does Insurance Cover Dual Diagnosis Treatment at Purpose?

Yes, Purpose Healing Center offers dual diagnosis substance abuse treatment in all of our care levels, and it is covered by insurance, sometimes fully, sometimes in part.

Dual diagnosis refers to co-occurring substance abuse and mental health concerns. For example, concurrent substance abuse and depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, or an anxiety disorder.

More than one in four individuals with a serious mental illness also live with a substance abuse disorder, but dual diagnosis treatment can help. Purpose Healing Center is equipped to address dual diagnosis disorders in addition to standalone mental illness or alcohol and drug abuse.
