While many of our clients are Arizona residents, it’s not uncommon for residents of other states to seek out the high standard of care available at our facility. Purpose Healing Center is located less than 20 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Shuttle rides, bus routes, and rideshare options can all help you arrive at our facility. When possible, we also help arrange transportation from the airport!

Our clients find that inpatient rehab at Purpose provides high levels of support for drug and alcohol addiction. The evidence-based therapeutic approaches that we use at Purpose include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing (MI), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and relapse prevention. These are offered in individual counseling services and group therapy across all of our treatment options.

We also use holistic therapies that focus on healing the whole person, rather than focusing solely on alcohol and drug addiction. This allows you to build a solid foundation through inpatient and outpatient programs, including skills that support lasting recovery. Most insurance plans cover these services.

Wide Acceptance of AHCCCS Insurance Plans

The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System is the Grand Canyon State’s version of Medicaid, created to make healthcare more accessible to residents of the state. They provide coverage for doctors visits, hospital visits, mental health support, and even treatment at in-network Arizona rehab centers for a recovery and detox program.

As an AHCCCS in-network facility, crisis intervention, medical detox for withdrawal symptoms, addiction medicine, residential inpatient rehab, mental health help, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, other outpatient programs, and family programs are all covered at our facility. Often, several of these approaches are used as part of a comprehensive treatment program.

Other Accepted Insurances

Part of our accessibility is working with most major insurance plans to ensure that insurance coverage (or lack of) does not deter our clients from getting critical help at our rehab and detox program. We work with many companies, including but not limited to AIHP, Aetna, Magellan, Beacon, Banner, Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Ambetter, Cigna, TriCare, and GEHA.

Most insurance providers offer coverage for substance use disorder under the 2008 Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, as well as the 2010 Affordable Care Act. However, the amount of coverage can vary depending on the specifics of your health insurance plan. Additionally, it’s likely not all drug and alcohol treatment centers in Arizona accept your insurance to cover rehab costs.

We are familiar with these insurance companies and their plans and can easily verify your insurance and let you know the specifics of coverage over the phone. And, for those who are not covered, private pay and other alternative payment options are available.

Continued Support and Aftercare

Recovery doesn’t stop after you leave residential treatment, it’s an ongoing process. Before you leave our drug and alcohol rehab, it’s important to know you have a safe, supportive, and drug-free environment to return to. This might be at home, with a friend or family member, or even in sober living homes

We can also help you arrange mental health appointments and find support groups in your local area. This type of compassionate support makes it easy to take the next steps after rehab and continue working toward recovery.

Does Purpose Offer Behavioral Health Treatment?

Yes, we offer behavioral health plans across all of our drug and alcohol rehab programs. Behavioral health encompasses your mental, emotional, and social well-being. It encourages the type of total wellness that supports long-term sobriety.

Is Purpose Healing a Mental Health Treatment Center?

Yes, we offer treatment for mental health disorders (as needed) as part of our comprehensive drug and alcohol treatment programs. We specialize in treating complex trauma, PTSD, and underlying mental illness including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, schizophrenia, and more as part of our holistic approach to helping our clients overcome addiction.

Our Arizona Recovery Center Programs for Dual Diagnosis Clients

The link between mental illness and substance use disorders is strong. Both conditions share similar risk factors including genetics, environment, and lifestyle choices. For this reason, we offer dual diagnosis at our drug and alcohol rehab center.

Additionally, prolonged use of drug and alcohol use increases the risk of mental health conditions. Mental health disorders also increase the risk of addiction, particularly if you are turning to drugs or alcohol as a form of self-medication.

Dual diagnosis addresses co-occuring mental health and substance use disorder treatment at once. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, treating co-occurring conditions reduces the risk of relapse. Without mental health treatment, you’ll face the same struggles that contributed to drug and alcohol abuse before reaching out to our recovery center.
